SINCE 1962
Otis Adeyemi Sr. opened the shop the year the pole went up. His son runs Chair 1. His grandson sweeps on Saturdays, under protest.

The shop opened in 1962 with two chairs, one mirror, and a pole Otis Sr. bought second-hand from a shop that was closing in Dalston. Sixty-odd years later there are four chairs, better mirrors, and the same pole — rewired twice, repainted never. The scratches are part of the story.
We do cuts, shaves and beards. We don’t do ‘grooming experiences’, app-only bookings, or £9 coffees. The radio plays what Marek wants until 2 PM and what Ada wants after, which is the closest thing we have to a management structure.
